  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Streusel Topping

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Mixing Wet Ingredients

  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and softened butter until light and fluffy.
  • Add each egg one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in the sour cream and vanilla extract.

  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and reserve one cup of batter for the streusel topping.

Streusel Topping

  • In a separate bowl, mix the reserved batter with the rolled oats and ground cinnamon until crumbly.
  • Sprinkle the streusel mixture over the top of the cake batter.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Notes

Use the spoon-and-level method for measuring flour. If you’re out of sour cream, plain yogurt can be used as a substitute. Let your cake cool for about 10-15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
