  • 1 cup rice (white or brown) Provides base for the bowl.

Preparation

  • Cook the rice according to package instructions. Set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken and season with salt and pepper.
  • Cook the chicken for about 6-8 minutes until golden brown on all sides.
  • Pour the honey BBQ sauce over the chicken and stir well to coat. Allow to simmer for a few minutes to meld flavors.
  • In serving bowls, layer the cooked rice at the bottom, followed by the honey BBQ chicken, sliced bell peppers, and broccoli.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

Experiment with different grains and BBQ sauces to customize your bowl. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 3–4 days.
